In the month of Ramadan I bake bagels everyday to enjoy with yogurt, dates and Dukkah spice, my kids love it with a spread of Nutella and chopped strawberries. We like our bagels in Ramadan crispy on the outside but chewy and soft on the inside.

For the past 3 years you have been asking me for this recipe and I am finally sharing it with you.
This recipe is so easy that you will never need to buy bagels again, it only requires self raising flour, Greek yogurt and salt!
Bagels
Makes 6-8

1 cup Greek yogurt
1 & 3/4 cup self raising flour
Pinch of salt

1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees
2. Combine flour, yogurt and salt in a mixer and mix till it forms a dough
3. Sprinkle flour and knead for 1 min (can do by hand or machine)
4. Roll dough into balls, poke a hole in the center of each ball, then gently stretch the dough into a ring and add onto baking tray
5. Whisk egg with pinch of salt, egg wash and add sesame seeds

BKD Notes:
– If dough is sticky add more flour
